Course Description
This course is for teachers and school ancillary staff. It covers emergency situations common in school environments.

First Aid Training Objectives
On completion of the course, candidates will be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills from the First Aid Training Manual. These topics include;
  • Scene Safety Assessment
  • Universal Precautions- Communicable Disease Protection and barrier use.
  • Primary Assessment Obstructed Airway Management
  • Rescue Breathing
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use.
  • Serious Bleeding
  • Management of Shock
  • Management of Spinal Injury
