Course Description
This is new 1 Day Emergency First Aid At Work Course introduced by the HSE in October 2009. It bridges the gap between the Appointed Person and the full 3 Day First Aider. This course is ideal for those working in a low risk environment.

Course Content:
To be able to provide basic life support delegates will receive training in a range of Appointed Person First Aid subjects, including:

♦ Scene Assessment and Barrier Use
♦ Primary Assessment and CPR
♦ Choking Adult
♦ Serious Bleeding Management
♦ Shock Management
♦ Spinal Injury Management
♦ Caring for specific injuries and illnessess

Important Information
Please ensure all delegates are free of any condition that will prohibit them from participating fully during the practical aspects of the this first aid course.

Course Outcome
On completion of this basic life support course, delegates will receive a First Aid certificate of attendance to the standard of Emergency First Aid. Certificates are issued approximately 2 - 4 weeks after the completion date of the course.
